Okay, so with 2 episodes left I am where I wanted to be with trades in hand. I have extreme doubts that Tina will survive the duel, but with the dynamic in game at the moment I think it would be smarter to go for points this week rather than not go for them. Tyson has an idol and if he doesn't win immunity will surely play it on himself. So he's safe for a week despite being the biggest threat.
Monica is probably in the hotseat and so I'll trade her in for Katie this week due to a higher chance for her to score by confessionals voting right and also through winning the challenge. I will ideally swap Katie back in next week depending on who gets voted out as I don't have faith in Laura returning due to the Matt curse.
I'll keep Hayden as I've used a trade and despite him being pretty likely to go this week he is a good shot at winning the duel if it comes to it.
I see Tyson as safe, Monica as safe, Ciera as a bit in danger but safe mainly due to Hayden, Gerv as target #1 for team Ciera/Hayden so he's under the pump and Hayden as the target of Tyson and henchmen.
If it pans out how I want it to Laura will lose this week's duel and Gerv gets voted out only to have Katie and Tina doubleteam him for Katie to re-enter the game. Plan B is for Tina to lose this week, Gerv gets voted out and then Katie wins the final duel. Plan C is for Tina to lose the duel, Ciera gets voted out and then Laura and Ciera distract each other in the duel to open things up for Katie to win back in.

Gamble on player of the season on Tyson.
Options for this episode are either- trade Hayden for Gerv. Gerv is likely to come in probably 3rd, while with Hayden I see it that if he wins RI he wins the game. Monica wouldn't have voted out Gerv last week only to have him possibly return and rejoin with Tyson and an idol to burn Monica in the end.
So for Hayden to come back after another Tyson masterminded move would have to give Monica the incentive to flip it at the last opportunity.
Hayden would have the bargaining chip of being beatable after having been v/o and the mystery of being able to tell Monica what the jury are thinking after being on RI. But if he pulled that move off, Hayden would be in a great spot to win.
Laura M doesn't have a good relationship with Monica. So even if she returns, she's not a good shot at making FTC.
Tina has beaten Aras, Vytas, Caleb and Katie but I still don't think she's any shot of not coming last in the duel.
Tyson is either coming 2nd to Ciera, 2nd to Hayden, coming 4th, or winning.
Monica can beat Laura and Gerv only.
Ciera can win and is in a really good spot if Hayden returns.
My ideal FTC at this point as a fan is Hayden, Ciera and either Monica or Tyson. I love the Ciera and Hayden dynamic - plus they are both great players.
I also have the question of who to make captain. Ciera is probably the best choice over anyone. But she's not in my tribe. Tyson is going to be very popular as a captain choice and because of that and as I'm last, I don't really stand to gain by having him as captain.
That leaves Monica or Hayden/Gerv. Hayden doing well depends on him beating Laura- which isn't looking easy, but if he gets back he should do well. Gerv doing well is unlikely as I can't see him beating anyone. He's like the Phillip to Boston Rob.
Monica doing well can occur by sticking to the status quo and making FTC and probably coming 2nd to Tyson. Or by mixing it up and working it with Ciera and the returnee. Plus if she took the Morrett's to the end there is no Morrett vote on the jury against Monica. It's the latest possible point to pull off a powershift, but Culpepper needs to make a move to win over the jury and there's a perfect chance to do so coming up. Either way, I can't see Monica not making FTC unless somehow Tyson wants to go to F4 with the Morretts and Gerv as less of a threat than Monica.
Monica is a challenge beast and will likely be the possible swing vote again and so will be in the spotlight. This convinces me to go with Monica as my final captain. And a tribe of Monica-Tyson-Hayden I have 2/3 of the likely FTC, while keeping Hayden in the mix as he gives me the best shot of a redemptioner making the end which gives me the opportunity to make some ground on other teams.
So - No trades this week.
- Monica becomes final week captain.
