The rise in scoring in recent weeks has been because of my long term approach. You've seen the contenders who have jumped on the short term players who have scored well briefly now come back to the field as the likes of Rupert, Colton, Brad and John have been steadily eliminated. My team is probably the best value long term - shown by it's 150% increase in value since day 1 and I'm sure that if I had selected the right captain that I'd be up in the top 2 by now. Aside from probably Gerv, I would have picked the same team from early on. The good thing is though that hopefully now he can make up for some lost time and justify his spot.

Tadhana looks interesting at the moment as there's a lot of big players. With a 3-3 split, I think there's got to be some cross factional strategies or else we'll see a tie. Aras is being painted as a target by Tyson, but I don't know how that's being received. Tyson's ego is massive at the moment and it's clear what he's trying to do. His closeness with Gerv is pretty clear too. Which is a bit of a concern for them both - Gerv isn't well liked by the new players due to his over confidence which cost Marissa the game. Aras is a smart guy and would remember that, so I don't know how much longer Gerv is going to stick around. Plus, especially Hayden's alliance with Vytas is going to increase the chances of Aras staying. We've pretty much seen that the new players will stick 3 strong so it's probably going to be either Aras, Tyson or Gerv to go. Seeing as I have all 3 on my team if they do lose it puts me in a tough spot. So maybe I should change my approach so far and swap out one of them.
Seeing as Kat got voted out, I see the best value in Hayden as he's going to probably get a confessional talking about her plus a confessional or two talking about the Aras vs Tyson battle. Plus, he's way too good to be a 2 peso player- I wanted to get him on my team when he was a 5 and he's scored solidly since. A good social player and a good physical player, he's looking like the least likely person to get voted out next week. Plus with 11 now in the game proper, we might just see a merge soon. And Hayden would only really be challenged by Aras and possibly Vytas for individual immunity you'd think given Tysons injury, Gerv's unrounded capabilities and age and Caleb not looking overly impressive so far. I think I'm going to tentatively trade out Gervase for the time being and trade in Hayden - but I might untrade it before deadline depending on how I feel

Duckworth's Dominators trade (episode 6)This trade is officially sanctioned by the game hosts. If you wish to correct or reverse this action, it MUST be done before lockout for episode 7. You still have up to 1 trade available to use before episode 7 if you wish. Your tribe and trade balance has been updated.

thanks. I enjoy the sanction and the trade picture also. it's good to use a premerge trade while I've got the chance as the post merge will need more trades with the faster eliminations

Just remember that trades are reset to 3 post-merge for everybody. Any pre-merge trades in your bank will be wiped.
I'm going to post an announcement to clarify this.

I'll play it safe this episode and jump on Tina as captain. I see Vytas and Aras as decent shots to leave this episode and Tyson and Katie as outside chances to leave. So, I'm going the safe route and making Tina captain this episode. Realistically, I think that Laura B will go the RI, but it's not worth the risk of having my captain voted out - so Tina will be the captain this time. There's the fact she's on the weaker tribe- so receives more screen time should they lose, the fact she's just voted out an "ally", the fact that she's the only pair playing together and the fact that she's pulling strings all over the place. Throw in some potential grandbabies and you've got yourself a chance to pull a decent score

I reckon Vytas scored well, Tina scored well, Hayden scored well, Tyson scored well, katie performed on par and aras probably bordered par/underperformed.
should score well

wow, I thought I'd be midrange as 104 is way below what we were scoring last week. but to topscore is great ! lucky for me that I waited until probably the best time to trade in hayden. but with the merge coming, it's going to be more complicated to score well

Yep, it'll be a different dynamic, particularly with challenges. Should be interesting to see how different it is. Last week was a strange scoring week.

Just at a guess, I think the new challenge dynamic will hurt people like gerv the most. He's always been on the winning tribe and he's still not scoring- I'm so glad I offloaded him as he's now back to a 1 value, while Hayden's shot up at 4 now. Like in South Pacific, if there are men and a women immunity up for grabs next week, I'd say that Hayden and probably Monica will win them, as Vytas has barely eaten all game, Tyson is injured, Gerv can't swim or do puzzles, Aras could win and I just don't see Caleb winning. Monica would beat any woman in the game in a physical challenge, but would get rolled in a puzzle. Katie could sneak up as an immunity holder as there's not too many women left and she's been decent so far, Kat going last episode really helps her case in this case I'm happy with the majority of my tribe at the moment. It's going to depend a lot on immunity, but I don't necessarily think that Tyson is as in control as he thinks he is. I think he showed his hand too soon and got cocky.
As for the RI situation, I wonder if it sticks around. Plus, I wonder who returns. Looks like we'll see the clash of the Lauras round 2. I can't see Laura b winning as she's probably too heavy for the challenge- Laura morret should win unless she's too small. It would be extremely difficult if you couldn't properly reach around the pole. John is a decent shot to win and is strong, but he might just be a bit to heavy to last a really long time

Going off scoring recently, I'll jump on Vytas as captain this week. He's sure to be thinking once he meets with Aras, or his old buddies hayden and (john) and potentially has the loved ones majority. Also leading out of another great escape surely he'll get some time to explain to the camera his game plan. Plus as a leading strategist the merge gives him chance to show and explain more of what he's capable of. As well as him probably being more of an immunity threat than Tina.
So Captain CHANGE to Vytas

Your final episode 8 score is 256 for a total of 907. Your current team value is 22 pesos.
Not a bad week but a lot of tribes have leapfrogged you. You're still within striking distance. What's your next step?
