wow, one bad week and I drop from 4th to 8th
I don't know what to do with my team now. especially with Aras on RI I don't know how things will play out- looks like some people risked it/defaulted their way to a big score with a laura captaincy and were rewarded

after a bit more thought, I think that Aras is actually a good shot to go deep into RI. a physical player with good memory, flexibility and puzzle abilities mean that he could do a matt/ozzy and zen it or RI while climbing trees and slaying opponents.
with no threat of being voted out and with the tribe reduction in a couple weeks, he could be worth having - keeping him looks worth the risk for at least the short term

do you count after the vote confessionals ?
for example, aras last episode had a confessional as he went to RI when the credits came up.

Yes, all confessionals count, including that one. Only things that don't count are previews/re-caps.

Going to probably have to concede a loss of one round post merge due to trade limitations.
I'm going off your projected schedule in announcements and I know that later rounds will see higher points/player and so it's crucial to have full tribes going into all the final 3 episodes.
So as trades are more important than tribe composition to me at this stage, I'm conceding this round. If it's a 2x vote off, Aras probably won't get any score plus Tina, Vytas and Katie are all in a minority so I could lose two more there, not putting me in a good spot.
My choice is to either go long term with Aras and Tina and save a trade, or to dump one of them for an unreliable scorer in Gerv. Things look very unpredictable atm so I'm saving a trade. My only other option is to swap Hayden for Ciera - she's not the most tennable player either. Hayden is in a pretty good spot all things considered - he could ride the eliminate couples mantra and wipe Vytas, Tina, Laura out in the next 3. Or he could ride the original Tadhana + Laura (RI) and eliminate Tina, Tyson, Gerv, Monica. Or he could keep with swapped Tadhana and end it for Galangers.
Plus he's partnerless at merge and so less of a threat. Plus he looks to be a challenge force as well as a good social and strategist.
Maybe he'll make a good makeshift reliable captain.
So I'm planning to play the postmerge by trades rather than personnel. People would be swapping already and only saving 2 for the rest of the game, but I'm hoping to ride out the next 2 shows and them I'll use trades in episodes 11, 13 and 14

Thinking about it, if there's no duel there's no elimination.
Making a trade now would actually not be smart heading into a double vote as predicting the vote off two ahead of things is really difficult. Plus you could trade someone into RI
I'm only using a trade if all 3 of my team are on RI at the end of the next episode.
Trade once before the tribe reduction to 3 and then one each in the final 2 episodes is the best plan.
The later things get the more predictable it will get to and so trades will get easier.
Going into this thought I was considering a swap now, but now I realise that a swap now is a waste and anyone who used it clearly didn't think about things.
Also Rafe has been dropping recently- I've made ground 3 weeks in a row.
Time to captain change for safety also - Hayden as new CAPTAIN

if monica had been voted out instead of tina I would've been in a much better spot.

straight up I think I'm out of it. 7th basically is last and there's not much prospect of improving.
now I can't trade anyone in- Tina is most likely losing and only Aras is also a 1 value. aras/vytas are probably going to beat anyone else at RI.
Katie might save me by powering for a surprise win, but she's facing 7 people who want her out. Hayden is a solid earner and it might just be because I was supporting Katie/Aras/Vytas, but I'm not liking Tyson's chances of going much further. I'd trade him out as he's surely peaked, but with only 1 trade per week allowed it's not worth it.
rafe may well be on the slide too as he's no longer top if everyone's rank changed.

Not to give it away, but nobody is out of it. Just remember there's only 11 players remaining in total so you'd imagine some similarities with the proven scorers. It's coming down to the less popular choices and captain selections making differences.  |

this episode I'm changing captain from Hayden. I want Katie as captain just because I want her to win, so it's between her and Tyson as captain for this week.
Katie should score well as Tina was last voted out and so she might get about 4 confessionals- one preduel, one post duel, one prechallenge given it's 7 vs 1 and she needs to win, then 1 or 2 post challenge as the onus is on her to really shake things up to play.
I think tyson might just be peaking after several big scoring weeks. I'm bottom of the pile so although the conventional wisdom says go with tyson as captain- everyone's thinking that. my only shot this week to get a score to gain ground is to have katie as captain- the underdog seems to get focus post merge, like reynold last season, abi in phillipines, troyzan in one world.
nobody else would be in a position to capitalise on katie having a huge week if she does and so for me to have any chance of winning, I need to pick her as captain and for her to have her biggest week yet. oh, just thought about the idol clue - she's getting that for sure if it's still offered. another chance to get a confessional and more focus during an idol hunt/fake.
so in short, all my eggs are going in katie's basket. in a high risk high reward strategy she's going to become my new captain

I really thought katie would be voted out this week, but for her to outlast laura here (plus favours from RI) could really swing things towards katie.
She's charging towards an unlikely win - given she's faced all votes but one, plus allies tina, aras and vytas going on the jury, she's a great shot to win from here.
hopefully new players roll the returnees. then katie immunity wins it to the end
