Anyway it doesn't matter. I'm happy to stick to $16 for 7 players. Whoever I pick plays well. That's the power of a good coach. I can turn the shittest $1 player into a super star.

I wouldn't argue with upping it to $17 or $18. The difference this season is that there are three tribes and we have to have at least two from each...which makes things much harder, especially considering there are more expensive players this time around as well (a lot of whom are on the same tribe). As it is now, most people will probably go for a few of the expensive players and then be forced to pile up on the cheaper ones...which will mean a lot of very similar teams across the board.

$17 is good if not 18. Especially because of the price divide across the tribes as people have mentioned.

Yeah I like 18. The benefit would be that we'd probably have more diverse teams.
Increasing it to only 17 won't change my team.

I just made a 7-person tribe with $15 and it's not great... and that's before I've checked for tribe balance.

You all know I just pick all the hot girls, most of which are cheap and even I get stretched for money with this 7 for $16

No need to raise the cap money. $16 is plenty for 7 players. This game's better when it's more challenging anyway. Maybe we could trial the 6+reserve format until like the F14 or something? Then give people the option to keep 7 (6+reserve) , or dropping back to a 6 player team. So you might sell a player back at that point, or keep your full 7. I haven't thought a lot about how it could work though

It's not really a matter of the game being less challenging, Bobby Boucher. It's that under this system there will likely be very similar teams across the board, because in order to take a decent White Collar and Blue Collar person you're forced to stock up on all of the cheap people.

If all the cheap players suck and get voted out early, every single person here will end up with terrible scores. You have to ask what the point is? Everyone having almost identical teams ruins the competition. It almost comes down to crossing your fingers that there are options for trades later which may not even be available with the lack of additional monies available in your bank balance. The cap has to go up.

Yeah I think it could be more fun if we have more money, but it would need to be at least $2 more imo. An extra $1 isn't going to do much.
And if someone already has a team for $16 or under and doesn't want to spend more, then they can just save the money and buy trades or a player with it later on. I could see reasons for buying a cheap team now and saving the money.
Ultimately, though, I'm not too bothered what the final decision is

More variety makes for a better competition.
There's nothing that says you have to use every dollar you are given.

My tribe is fine. I even have $1 in the bank.

I'm gonna raise it to $17 on this proviso - You cannot have more than $2 outstanding. So you either spend $15-$17 to fill out your tribe, or you will only have $2 left in your bank should you only spend $14 or less.

You can change your team as much as you like before Episode 1 lockout. There are no restrictions.
