Thanks for letting me sign up for another season. I've done some thinking on the upcoming season and will write up some thoughts along with my team picks.
Pick #1- Jon - I give Jon the best shot of winning the game. He looks like an ideal alliance partner, a nice guy, clearly athletic and he just comes across as genuine. I can't see anyone wanting him out for a while. He's not overly cocky, or a clear threat, so he's the safest pick of anyone.
Pick #2 Keith - Looks to be a hybrid of 2 Toms of Survivor past. Big Tom and the Silver Fox. He'll be fit enough as a fire captain to be helpful in challenges, while having his age to hide behind. He'll have the survival skills to take him through the first vote or two, allowing him to get a fair shot at the game. His accent and likeability should give him a few confessionals.
Pick #3 Missy - An older woman almost always makes the F4 and in this cast, Missy looks like she could be the one to play a supporting role in helping someone go deep, without having to take the reigns. If she builds good social bonds, she could be difficult to dislodge and is shaping as a roughy to win. She's a cheer coach and so will have good coordination, controlled movement and balance to help in challenges.
Pick #4 Alec - I'm not sure about him, but I like him a lot more than his brother and at 1 Cordoba cheaper, he's reasonable value. He seems more driven, driven and able to relate to others. Only time will tell if he's more like a Jay Byars or a Malcolm.
Pick #5 Rocker - I've done a bit of background on Rocker and I'm looking forward to seeing him play. As a former pro athlete, he's competed at the highest level- pitching in a world series, which is a huge deal. He's obviously a competitor and so is going to be valuable early on as the tribe tries to establish dominance over the opposition. His celeb status should milk early points (hopefully). I went the same route with Cliff last season and it didn't work, but I'm tentatively trying again.
Pick #6 I have been tossing up between Reed and Val (Missy and Dale or Jaclyn) due to the tribe 3/3 split. I am not sure, honestly. I like Reed, but I think Josh may be the more vocal of the relationship. At this stage, I'll probably lean toward Val, but it's not decisive. I'd prefer Jeremy over Val, but he's too expensive. I need to do some more thinking and a reshuffle based on tribes and prices under the cap.

General thoughts- the twins are definite avoiders for me. They've been presented as 2 of the same person essentially, due to their Amazing Race background and identical twinship. As a result, I expect half as many confessionals from them. Once their split up, you lose their apparently famous dynamic. They were brought in with the hopes of both being on the same tribe at a switch.

I've been pretty well, just living and learning. Having no idea what I'm doing most of the time and making it up as I go, haha. I might get back on Stranded in a bit, it's been a while since I last was on there. Anyway, how have you been ?

I may as well go with as my captain as he's bound to cost big for a reason. It makes sense that he'll score big. As far as I can see, the only other contenders in terms of early big scorers are Keith, Wes and Drew. As like I said earlier, I just can't see the twinnies outscoring anyone in the upper 2 price categories purely as there are 2 of them and without twin interaction you're losing a lot of the reason why they were brought in. I expect them to get a joint confessional talking about day 0 and then maybe one about separating, then they might get one each for the rest of the episode. I expect 4 or 5 confessionals from Rocker.
I expect 2 from Missy, 3 from Jon, 1 or 2 from Alec, 3 from Val and 3 or 4 from Keith. But honestly before the season starts my predictions are only probably marginally better than random guesses. Hopefully I'm on the right track

I've been doing ok. I started my own ORG franchise that concluded last month, called The Expendables. Running the second season early next year. Also co-host Aus Stranded and have helped run a couple of seasons there. Helped Judd with the last Sasqwatch as well. Playing less and hosting more, which is fun.

ah, sorry. seems like maths isn't my strong point. It's actually easier now that I don't have to worry about whether I should go with Val or not- I'll cut her for Wes. I think he's less likely to get voted out early and is one of the few with potential to dominate the scoring. So for

wow, sounds like you've been busy. where do you guys keep finding new players from? I remember even a couple years ago it was getting hard to find new people. what season of Aus Stranded are they up to now? it would have to be about 15! soon they're bound to run out of characters to give the players. even Sasqwatch would have to be getting up there now in terms of seasons.
oh, good luck with your Expendables series I assume it's based on the movies with Arnie, Terry Crews, Stallone and all those action guys?

It gets a bit hard to find new players. Last couple of seasons have attracted a lot of players from Reddit. I've recruited a few here and there from other sources (BigFooty, real life, some other ORGs). Hopefully we can keep finding new players. The seasons are spread out a lot more now, which may help. Just completed season 14 in July, with reps from Cooks, Fiji, China and Micronesia. Was a fun season, check out the intros I made:

This was after I played in season 7 and co-won (long story, someone got removed and it was a 6 person jury ). And because I'm awesome I made an intro for Judd while I was playing

Oh, and The Expendables actually is the franchise name but borrows from the idea of taking different big names from a genre and mixing them together. The first season was actually a Tarantino theme, so characters from all his feature films. Was really cool. I'm working on the second season now, this is the teaser:

WOW! I'm very impressed. I've never heard of using an intro for an online game- it makes it seem so professional. It's amazing that you actually made those. I don't even know how you made the Stranded logo into the video. And the cartoon one flows so well, it's even in time with the music! And the Game of Thrones one is even better- it just is so well made. Everything about it is great- it's better than just about every intro I've ever seen of any actual tv show. Do you do this kind of thing for a living??

As for the Expendables series, it seems like it's a very slick game and if you're hosting- I bet it's going to run very well indeed. Hopefully the players make it a season worthy of such production value. Good luck! Once again, I'm extremely impressed by your skills!!!!

Lol, I don't do it for a living. Would love to. I did a media degree a decade and a half ago, so I know how to edit. But I have far from professional equipment. I'm hoping to upgrade soon and actually maybe start a small business. I've done a few montage videos of my two boys and also did a video to document all the photos of my in-law's Euro vacation a few years ago. I do a bit of Photoshop stuff as well, but always learning how to do cool things or effects.
