It's been raised that Spencer should have scored 30 for his idol play in the recent episode. I did clarify this a couple of episodes back: survivordreamteam.proboards.com/post/3305/threadThe idea of the merge idol was it was the one Tony now has. The one Spencer found carries the same points as the tribe idols. The reason for this is Spencer could only play his before the votes were read. He scores 10 if he plays it incorrectly (as he did) or 50 if he plays it right (if he played it on Jeremiah). The merge idol has a flat 30 points for being played, as it is played after the vote is read and will always be considered as being played right. Therefore it carries no value for being played wrong and a lesser value for being played right. Short story - Spencer only scores 10 points for his idol play.

Short story: Tony's idol is stupid and shouldn't exist.

Nah. I like the regular idols, provided they get hidden in a not obvious way. The under water ones this season were really good.

I hate when idols get used correctly but I love when people get blindsided with idols, they waste them, or an attempt to flush votes for them backfires.
The TP idol is horrible because wasting it/getting blindsided with it is literally impossible :/
