Everyone, please take note, any discussion of the episode is to take place in the EPISODE DISCUSSION section, where an appropriate thread will be awaiting you.
My bad, I didn't post rules and conduct for you all. Well here they are now:
For those who have played a fantasy sports game before, such as AFL Dream Team or Super Coach, then the format will be quite similar. For those who haven't, it's not as difficult as it appears. And if you are fans of Survivor then you should find this competitive, challenging and sometimes frustrating, but hopefully always fun.
Please take the time to read the rules for the game and the conduct expected of you. Post confirmation that you agree as way of officially signing. All rules and conduct below are NON-NEGOTIABLE and if you are found to be in breach of any you will be disqualified from the game. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Tribe Owners - Each participant in Survivor Dream Team is referred to as a Tribe Owner. You can only managed one tribe per season.
Tribe - Each team will be referred to as a tribe. Each player participating owns a tribe of Survivors of which forms their team/tribe.
Survivors - This term refers to contestants actually on the TV show.
Day of episode airing - refers to the day an episode of Survivor airs in the United States. This will be every Thursday Australian time for all episodes except the finale, which will take place on a Monday, Australian time.
Lockout - no changes to your tribe can be made during this period.
SPOILERS
- Each Tribe Owner agrees to not make themselves knowledgeable of ANY spoilers for the season of Survivor: Blood vs Water. Anyone found to be in breach of this agreement without informing the hosts will be disqualified.
- It is heavily advised to be mindful that the internet contains spoiler information outside of your control. Tribe Owners are not expected to change their surfing habits but be aware that spoiler information can occur and it is advisable to avoid likely destinations where spoilers can occur - mainly fan forums or comments sections of Survivor-related articles.
- If any Tribe Owner inadvertently becomes aware of spoiler information, they are to notify the hosts immediately. Obviously, the hosts do not want to know spoilers themselves, so be discrete in the information you supply. Do not specify names of Survivors. The hosts will discuss the matter with the Tribe Owner and a decision will be reached, most likely removal from competition.
- This game forum is a SPOILER FREE ZONE in all threads except ONE specific discussion board that will be setup to allow discussion of each episode as it airs in the US and following it's airing. Tribe Owners who do not wish to be spoiled are advised to not enter the board if they do not want to be spoiled. No threads are to be created on the board by anyone except the hosts and cannot be posted in until the episode begins airing. Any breaches of this will mean your tribe is disqualified from competition.
TRIBE ACTIVITY
- Lockout (ie. no tribe changes) occurs from 6am Australian EST on the day of episode airing. This is automatic and does not need to be confirmed by hosts. Please be aware of it. Lockout ends when one of the hosts posts appropriate confirmation. This can occur any time after an episode has aired and may take up to 72 hours (3 days) pending host schedule.
- Trades can be made/reversed up until 6am Australian EST on the day of episode airing. You simply need to state the appropriate trade in your designated trade thread. Any trades/changes submitted after this time will not count.
POINTS SCORING
- All points will be tallied and posted by AT LEAST TWO of the three hosts this season. Tribe Owners can make their own tallies ON THEIR OWN BOARD ONLY. If there is a dispute about the points awarded by the hosts then AT LEAST THREE Tribe Owners must in agreeance of what the points should be for any overrule to take place. A discussion will be held to determine where the discrepency (or discrepencies) occurred. Then AT LEAST TWO of the the three hosts will re-tally THE POINTS IN DISPUTE ONLY and re-post their final determinations. The points will then stand and there will be no arguments allowable. Any Tribe Owner who disputes following this course of action will be removed from competition.
- Please keep in mind that it can take time for hosts to watch and score an episode. Please allow up to 72 hours (3 days) for this to be undertaken, however it is expected to not take that long.
POSTING ON THE FORUM
- Please conduct yourself in a respectable manner. A bit of swearing is allowable, but refrain from abuse. Any abuse towards other participants will not be tolerated and you will be removed from competition and the board.
- Please do not delete or edit any posts in your team boards. If you make a trade and wish to change it, make a new post. If you are found to have deleted/edited a post on your team board, you will receive ONE warning. If it occurs again, you will be removed from competition.
