Ok I'm not entirely happy with this and I'll probably end up changing it, but I want to have something down anyway.

I'm a bit nervous about how wildly unbalanced it is, but I really really want Garrett and Spencer (but so expensive omg), Sarah, Trish and Jeremiah are all bargains IMO, but I'm not really happy with Jefra... I may end up adding LJ and swapping Garrett for J'tia but I don't really want her either.

I'm going to hold on to J'Tia, even if she goes next week she'll get me a tonne of points so in fact I'm going to make her my J'Captain.

Also can I get the hell rid of Jeremiah and use my extra dollar to trade for Cliff? Is that ok?

Yep, definitely. You can reverse this trade at any point until lockout for Episode 2.
