Episode 13 is this Thursday and the finale is Monday, Australian time.

This game will have an official finale night on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 18 at 8PM AEST (it may be a little slow going as I'm dealing with kids, and may get pushed back to 9PMish).

As of the end of lockout for Episode 13, you will not be given your ladder position. You will only know your points tally. Finale ladder positions and the first winner of Survivor Dream Team will be revealed on Wednesday.




Also, and I'll need some consensus for this - is anyone interested in "gambling" points? Here is the proposal:

For anyone who wants to gamble on who is the Player of the Season that is revealed at the finale, you can gamble your captain's finale double points.

- If you correctly nominate the Player of the Season, you will score TRIPLE captain points*. If you are incorrect, your captain's score will NOT be doubled as it normally is.
- If you correctly nominate the Player of the Season AND the runner-up for that prize, you will score QUADRUPLE captain points. If you are incorrect, your captain's score will be wiped completely** (ie, they will score 0).
*If your captain's score is negative, your highest scorer's score will be halved if you are incorrect. If you are correct, your captain's score will not be doubled.
**If your captain's score is negative, your highest scorer's score will be wiped if you are incorrect. If you are correct, your captain's score will wiped to 0.

This could be the difference in winning and losing for some who may feel they are out of contention. Please reply and we'll see the consensus.

You can do this after Episode 13. It will be for the finale episode which happens Monday, so yeah, by Sunday night. Or you can say you want to do it now, really up to you, but it's only the finale points you gamble.

And if I get 3 or more people who DON'T want anyone doing it, I won't do it. Just figured it'd be an interesting strategic gamble for some.

There's strong speculation that there will not be a Player of the Season this series. People are still welcome to make the gamble, however be aware that if there is now such award issued, then the gambling will be made void.

And while you don't know your ladder position or the scores of the other tribes, I will give you the following information:

- The top NINE teams are separated 200 points.
- The top FIVE teams are separated by only 94.

It may seem like a lot but remember the points on offer in the finale, how your choice of captain can affect your score and how long the finale is, also, as it is essentially a double episode. Round 13 saw an 84 point different between the highest score and the lowest score for the round, so the deficit can be made up.

Also, one team has been removed from competition due to inactivity. I'm still scoring their points but they are officially the inaugural wooden spooners for Survivor Dream Team. They have been informed so congratulations to the rest of you, you will not come last!
