Newman...chill out! I'm pretty sure the only reason that rule was even in consideration this time is because last season certain players got massive scores that made it almost impossible for those who didn't do well in the first episode to ever catch up. This season clearly isn't the same situation at all, so it seems really unnecessary to do this.

Macka I don't know why you're only telling Newman to chill out. Waka escalated the argument by swearing first, ect. I agree with Newman that we shouldn't change the scoring system after the episode has already aired. We knew there wasn't going to be a double boot in episode one. So it's not as though that was a surprise. Also, the episode was about 20mins longer than usual. I do see Waka's point, though. But I don't think it's right to change the rules after the ep has already aired. Ultimately, it's up to The Ghost. And I'm not biased in this regard: After looking at the scores posted by Waka, my team's done quite well. (Originally, I thought my team had done badly.)

Thanks Rocky. That's all I was saying is that it should be under consideration. With the halved scores, only 6 contestsants aren't between 10-17. That's ridiculous. The reason the scores were so inflated last season was assumed to be the length but we now know that it wasn't so. The addendum was added to circumvent a problem that didn't occur. Do you still use a parachute if you don't jump off the plane? fuck no. same principle. This escalated because Newman started throwing around that the only reason I made the suggestion is bias and lol like fuck i'm gonna let him say dirty shit like that. If he had disagreed with me like an adult then it's a different story. Like you said, It's up to The Ghost but all I was making was a suggestion |

Halving the scores doesn't affect H2H match ups, just overall points.
The idea is that those who picked well for the first episode with inflated time (and therefore points) were almost guaranteed a high placing in the overall placements.

Oh, and the fact that you have an episode break without the ability to trade. That is something else to consider with the double premiere problem.

I only told Newman to chill out because @waka only made a suggestion, and he jumped down his throat with accusations of bias. Sure, we agreed to halve the scores of the first episode, but that was with what happened last season in mind. Looking at the scores from this episode (which we could only do after the episode aired), it's pretty clear this isn't the issue we thought it would be, and will actually course correct too far and negatively skew the weight of this episode. Personally, it's actually advantageous for me if the points ARE halved, so I'll be happy either way...but yeah, I can totally see the reasoning behind why we should talk about maybe changing our minds on this rule. |

Yeah I completely understand your argument Waka & Lord Zohn.
Other option: Instead of halving, we could take two-thirds of each score, i.e. multiply each score by 2/3.
But I think I'm still in favour of halving scores (since it's what was agreed upon)

omfg... lmao at this drama. Halving the scores actually works for my basic-ass bottom-half team but Waka's point was completely logical and someone got super duper defensive prolly coz he has a shitty team like me idk who cares  dying to know who newman actually is rn too.  The important thing to take from this episode though, is that HOLLA not picking Nadiya for my team, and SMH at Kellie being a nothing this episode  Everyone who picked the firefighter - GJ! Cha-Ching for y'all! Fingers crossed Roxy didn't or my first match-up is a wash  |
