1. Noted on the half scoring. I implemented that on suggestion pre-season and nobody argued against it then. My defence of it is that I think it is warranted as it means those who luck out and get a really good tribe first up can get a handsome lead that is hard to chip away at. They've already got a leg up by essentially guessing the right players, so this hopefully would ensure they are not given an extra leg up simply because others botch their picks. And let's face it, who can tell who will score well when one Twinnie scores high and the other gets the lowest in the game. As for doing a ratio, that is something to consider, but when we don't know before the episode how scores will play out, it's difficult to then say we'll change it for that reason. But I hear what you're saying and perhaps next season we'll go back to the original system, or maybe even not count Episode 1 scores at all.
2. The price changes are no different to previous seasons and this is the first I've seen this raised (although my memory is usually pretty hazy, so if it has been raised before, my bad ). In reference to last year with, Tony rose initially and then came back down after Episode 3 to $5 for two episodes, while Spencer rose slightly and was as low as $5 after Episode 5. They only really skyrocketed post-merge. Granted, $5 is still expensive, but Garret exited at $6, J'Tia at $5. while Sarah was $6 at one point and LJ was as high as $8. The whole point of the game is to manage your tribe and not just easily pick up the decent scorers. Also, with price increases, after I get a couple of episodes of data, I will be using player average compared to their Episode score to determine prices, so hopefully that means no more skyrocketing. A player who scores well will need to continue to do so just to maintain their price. To increase, they'll need to score even better.
